This is a controversial fashion design company that specializes in unusual combinations of cultural influences in their designs. Their normal method is to combine features from different culture's into one unique style. For example, they once combined African flags with Chinese symbols and characters and African prints with Indian tie-dye to create several new styles of clothing. This melting pot style of design has attracted the attention, both positive and negative, of many different ethnic groups. Some feel honored to have their culture's style mixed in with others. Other groups are horrified, and demand that the label remove their patterns and styles from their market.
This label has an extremely limited online retail presence but I was able to find at least one heavily discounted item at Shopstyle.
Oh it is so frustrating trying to find this label's website. Oh, I have no trouble finding other fashion-related websites that discuss this label, but I have had no luck so far finding this label's actual website. You would think that the websites that discuss this label would have an actual link to this brand's website, but that would be (in the words of a friend) "too much like right". This does make you wonder how or if this label expects to sell its product online. So given that, the most that I can tell you about this label is that its influences range from Andre Agassi to Iggy Pop. I don't think that tells you much. Oh and also, you can also try to purchase this label from links on my website.
FROM THE BLOGS:
I think these guys (if they are still around) need to sit down and do some serious thinking about their online presence. I didn't think that they would appear prominently in the blog search results on just their name alone. However, that still remains the case if you add the word "apparel" as a keyword. Even worse, if you just do a regular Google search for "Subscript Apparel", you have an easier time finding this website. That's not how this is supposed to work. That's not how any of this is supposed to work.
