SUMMARY:With a name like this brand has, what type of consumers do you think this brand caters to? Rockers? Umm no, this is still streetwear. In fact this brand pays some serious homage to hiphop stars past and present. Fooled me, but guess I’m getting old. You would think the brand name should be “ HipHopsmith”.

This brand is also firmly established across the internet. I like that and I understand that more than brands that have little internet presence and charge sky-high prices for their apparel. I think the strategy of making it difficult for your customers to find your apparel and then charging them a small fortune doesn’t work for customers past a certain age. But that’s just me. You will find similar prices for this apparel across Amazon, Bizrate/Shopzilla and even Karmaloop. The only place that I was able to find prices for this brand that were even lower were at a the power seller on eBay who carries the most of these items in their store. I saw consistent discounts of at least two dollars a shirt off the already discounted prices on Amazon, Bizrate/Shopzila and Karmaloop. This power seller is firmly established with an excellent record but I would like to see that store provide a bit information on the seller’s background and the source of the items.

FROM THE BLOGS: It's been a long time since I've listened to new hip hop or R&B. This was made clear to me in the Google blog search for this brand. One of the blogs seemed to keep track of current trends and featured an artist named August Alsina. I've never heard of August Alsina. I used to be really up on my hip hop, but I have no idea who these guys are nowadays. Not too familiar with Drake, Macklemore, etc. Guess I'm getting old. Nowadays, I want to listen to my parent's music like Barry White, Al Green and Curtis Mayfield. Amazingly enough, I was able to find those guys mentioned in the same blog.
