SUMMARY: Raffaele Borriello and Julien Desselle are the two designers behind this label. Raffaele Borriello was the director at Gucci, Sonia Rykiel, and Yves Saint Laurent. Along with his partner, Julien, who also worked as Director at Dior, Gucci, and Costume National, they decided to partner and begin their own label. Their fashion is a take on the refinement of the 1940's and 1950's. The label's objective was to marry two totally different styles together, haute couture and industrialization. The line is sold at Saks Fifth Avenue in New York, Montaigne Market in Paris , L'Etoile in Dubai, and a number of other countries around the world.

FROM THE BLOGS: I can't say much for this brand's internet presence. Obviously, the name of the brand by itself wasn't going to give me much, since it's such a commonly used word. However, the use of the word "apparel" along it with it was just about as bad in providing results. Feels like not much thought was given to those search for this brand online. When I have this much difficulty, I usually Google the names of the founders of the brand. More success this time, but with an exception. Did you know that there was a prominent Dr. Borriello? Well, he is considered prominent at least by the Brooklyn Rotary Club where he spoke last year. Other than that, there are a few interesting articles written about this designer. To be honest, I can't fully judge the quality of all the results because some of them seem to have been written in Italian (which I cannot translate). However, there are a few articles in English which provide some limited insight on this designer, such as the fact that he would like to design for the remake of "The Rear Window". I think that I remember seeing the original. It was a good suspenseful movie. I don't know why the remake would really improve upon it. I also don't know what type of style statement the movie makes such that this designer would like to dress the cast.
